DermaSweep Now Available at the Aesthetic Center
There is a new, advanced level of microdermabrasion treatment, and it is now available exclusively at the Aesthetic Center of Southwest Louisiana. It's called DermaSweep, and according to licensed aesthetician Leann Widcamp, the system offers breakthrough technology that goes far beyond traditional microdermabrasion.
"DermaSweep is a 'clean treatment,' providing particle-free skin exfoliation that is much more effective than previous systems.
With microdermabrasion, we used mineral crystals to stimulate and smooth the skin. Unfortunately, this leaves behind a gritty residue on the skin, and sometimes even on the client's hair and clothing. Some of my client's compared microdermabrasion to a sandblast treatment, and in a way, that's basically what is was.
DermaSweep is very different, and instead of crystals, the system features a variable vacuum action and patented treatment tips to exfoliate and rejuvenate the skin."
Widcamp explains that after DermaSweep, the skin is left smoother as the vacuum action of the wand stimulates blood flow and cleans the pores. The increased blood flow encourages new collagen formation which firms and tones the epidermis. Another unique feature available with DermaSweep is epi-infusion, which allows the same system, using gentle ultrasound, to deliver specific treatment solutions deep into the skin. Widcamp says this combination quickly rejuvenates damaged skin, as well as, stimulates collagen production for long-lasting effects. The results are a deeper polish and more rapid improvement to the skin's appearance.
DermaSweep is ideal for treating early aging lines, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, acne, surgical scars, dehydration, and for improving overall skin health. Widcamp says being able to tailor patient treatment at the exact time of need is a big advantage she can now offer her clients.
